Jason Humberd - Senior pastor
Jason began as a public school teacher in Bradley County Schools, in Cleveland, TN, where he served eleven years. He later answered the call to ministry, serving in Etowah for six years, then in Dunlap, TN for five. Jason returned to Etowah and began ministry at Wesley Memorial in July 2025. He holds a Bachelor’s in Education from Lee Universtity, Master’s in Leadership from TN Tech, and M.Div from Asbury Theological Seminary.
Jason’s calling is to motivate the saints of God to evangelize and to make disciples of Jesus Christ, but this first begins with helping them to discover just who they are in Christ Jesus. His ministry work also extends to the least, the lost, the lonely, and the left-behind. Jason, in the Greek, means “healer” and so Jason feels a calling to help people find spiritual healing and wholeness so that they can be all that the Lord has called them to be for the glory of the Kingdom of God.
Jason’s preaching comes only from the empowerment of the Holy Spirit. He will tell you that he can take no credit for it. He is passionate about sharing the message of hope, salvation, and redemption through Jesus Christ. The Bible is his textbook, and his passion for the Gospel shows in his enthusiasm and humor which come out in the messages he delivers each Sunday to spur the saints on in the faith. If you meet him, you will find that he is a down-to-earth guy, and he loves all without descrimation or judgement.
